Pizza comes in all shapes and sizes, but my favorite is the type who’s size I get to choose - Roman style. Known as Al Taglio, or by the cut, this style of pizza is baked in rectangular trays then cut into sizes by the customer’s discretion before being weighed, sold, and eaten. My favorite spot for Al Taglio in New York is without a doubt Impasto in Clinton Hill. This low key spot, conveniently located near both a chill playground and not far from Fort Greene Park, pumps out pies with an assortment of toppings - ranging from buffala mozzarella and tomato for the risk averse, to insane traditional Roman renditions laden with goldened potatoes and sausage. Endless variety, mobile, delicious.
