Located in an old print shop on the Chinatown/LES border - this Greek spot is shockingly perfect. Sitting outside on a pedestrianized Division Street as skaters blow by, trains screech over the bridge, and people fill the block with smoke and humor is a New York experience only improved through copious amounts of feta cheese. Although it attracts a crowd that appears more present for the scene rather than the saganaki, Kiki’s actually consistently pumps out Manhattan’s best Greek food at manageable prices. The Horiatiki Salad never fails to impress with its shockingly fresh and crisp vegetables accented by a slab of herbed feta, and the Grilled Octopus is always cooked perfectly with an incredibly tender texture paired with simple herbs, oil, and lemon. Entree wise, the flavor-packed Lamb Chops are so good that gnawing on the bone like a dog-toy at the end is practically mandated. Don’t miss the cheap carafes of wine or the fresh Greek Yogurt with honey and crushed walnuts.
